To ensure fairness and natural justice, the Ombudsman’s Office also has a referral system within its complaints intake and investigation processes, which refers complainants to the relevant Government agencies of integrity to address their grievances if their complaints fall outside of the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction for investigations. These agencies together safeguard the integrity of the Government of Solomon Islands (SIG) including its functions, processes, service delivery and public trust.
